Premium upgrades are special upgrades that can improve your game progress. They were first introduced in BTD4. These upgrades cannot be purchased by regular coins or Monkey Money. You need a Mochicoins (for BTD4 and BTD4 Expansion) And a NK coins(for BTD5) to purchase them. You can purchase upgrades like Dreadnought, Double Ranga, and Double Cash. You can choose to activate them through the premium upgrades panel. Some BTD4 premium upgrades like Frag Bombs have been made into BTD5 regular upgrades. Some premium upgrades cannot be used in Daily challenges or Special Missions. Some premium upgrades can be purchased more than once, like Extra cash, more lives, and more Monkey Money. It’s unlocked at rank 32. In Deflation Mode you start at round 21 with $50,000. You don’t earn any more money during game play. Banana farms are disabled. It is limited to six Bloon types, red, blue, green, yellow, black, and white.
